Schedule of Fireworks Clay County FL July 4th 2013

Fireworks Clay CountyAre you heading out to the Fireworks on Independence Day? There are a couple of choices close to home. Bring your blanket and some chairs, along with snacks or drinks, and don’t forget your camera. You just might shoot an award-winning fireworks photograph!

So which one will you go to? Different locations have different activities before the fireworks, but after 9 PM, it’s all in the skies. This year most of the fireworks celebrations are on the 4th itself, which is really the perfect ending to celebrating our Independence Day, isn’t it?

Orange Park – Moosehaven American Pride – July 4th at 9 PM, 1701 Park Avenue, Orange Park. Find your place along the banks of the St. Johns River on River Road, or come in your boat and anchor out in the River. Festivities  begin at 11 AM with $5 admission 3 PM to 8:30 PM. Fireworks are free. Military and immediate family are free all day. Jerrod Niemann concert starts at 7 PM.

Keystone Heights – Our Country Day Festival – July 4th at 9;30 PM at Keystone Beach. Start off your 4th of July by running in the 5K Marathon from City Hall. Registration starts at 6 AM, race at 8 AM. Festivities all day at the Keystone Heights Park Complex include crafts, food, and vendors. 10 AM Baby Crawl, 11 AM Parade from Keystone Elementary School, 1 PM Watermelon Eating Contest, 7-10 PM Live Music at Keystone Beach.

You can come early or come late, but be sure to find a great place to sit and watch the fireworks (and maybe take some spark-tacular photos). Fireworks are fun for every age, and this is one night the kids won’t want to miss! In case you didn’t get enough, there are some other fireworks celebrations before and after the 4th around Jacksonville.

Have a very safe and Happy July 4th and remember that freedom isn’t free!
